Experiences

The best way we learn is through experiences

In today’s world, we tend to often only focus on the intellectual, rational mind and ignore the emotional connection to the world that is so important. Let’s change that.

The best way to learn is to do

Through deep experiences we aim to provide individuals with the opportunity to reach significant insights and self-realization of who they want to be in the world, while equipping them with the philosophy, science and tools to put that into practice.

Biomimicry Immersion 2021 - Course Three of Three

Wild Spirit Lodge, Nature’s Valley, Garden Route, WC, South Africa

Feb 26, 2021

-

Feb 28, 2021

Join this 3-day immersion to explore how to “create conditions conducive to life” within our own bodies through a deep understanding of how nature nourishes life. While the focus is on our own health, we will discover how the principles for nourishing life within our own body systems are the same for nourishing life in ecosystems and could inform the design of human systems. This is particularly important for anyone who is concerned about their own health, the state of health in the world post-COVID-19, and the state of human systems, and our lack of connection to nature. You can join this 3-day immersion on its own, or participate in other biomimicry immersion at the same venue over 9 days. Facilitators: Claire Janisch, Biomimicry Professional, Holistic Health practitioner, Director of BiomimicrySA and TheraphiSA; Vincent Truter, certified Japanese Forest Bathing, Shiatsu and Japanese tea ceremony practitioner.

In this biomimicry immersion within the exquisite beauty of Nature’s Valley (Garden Route of South Africa), you’ll learn the principles and practicality of biomimicry and how to apply these to the design of your home, your life, community, society, economics, organisations, leadership, politics and more. Your biomimicry facilitator will be Claire Janisch: Biomimicry Professional and Director of BiomimicrySA, and holistic health practitioner. Your guide through the local nature experiences will be Sean Pritchard. Jenny Lawerence, founder and custodian of the sacred land of Khoinania, home to Wild Spirit, will welcome all by sharing her story of how Wild Spirit came into being through a chance encounter in 1977.
