Working in the Wild
Imagine being able to attend your online meetings and client calls while in the wilderness. Or waking up to the dawn chorus of the bush and heading out for a big five game drive all before you open your laptop for a productive day of work.

Expedition Information
In this Wild Work Away experience you choose your dates and length of stay. Depending on your work schedule, join the various activities on offer before, and after work and on weekends. The facility has everything that any good co-working space provides: Quiet desk space, access to good wifi, free coffee on tap - the only difference is you might see an elephant pass by your window and hear the sounds of hyenas at night! All you need to do is confirm your days and plan your own travel to and from Skukuza. If this interests you please email skukuzascienceleadership@gmail.com for more information. Book your preferred dates and length of stay between 14th - 22nd October with an option to add a 6 day wilderness trip to Northern Kruger.
Location
Kruger Park, Nsasani Trust, Skukuza Science Leadership Initiative Centre, South Africa
Accommodation
The Skukuza Science Leadership Campus is a new state-of-the-art green facility based in Skukuza in the Kruger National Park. The campus consists of a Science Centre with quiet working spaces, good wifi and a lecture room. Accommodation is either in private self-catering units that face the bush, or in student-type accommodation in a house or cottage with shared ablutions. “Not only is the space itself a learning space, where we can learn in but we can also learn about. It’s a Green Building, built with materials that are all sourced locally. The idea is that when people come and work, and learn in that space, they also learn about their own individual footprints and impacts on the environment, and how they can be more conscious of what they do in their everyday lives to lessen that impact” - Karen Vickers.
Pricing
R 1350 per person per night sharing in self catering units. This includes: Accommodation; Entry into & daily conservation fees in the park; Daily game drives; Guided bush walks with a Savanna Ecologist and a Biomimicry Field Guide; 2 nights camping in the bush accompanied by Game Guards, lessons on Ecology of the Kruger and its people, Biomimicry, Deep Ecology and Gaia Theory.
Testimonial
“Working in the wild fundamentally allows employees to be inspired, connected, and ultimately more creative. This is the future of solving deep-seated problems that require diverse and multidisciplinary thinking on all levels.” - Georgina Visser
