1% for the Planet
At ReWild Africa, we contribute 1% of our revenue to Biodiversity
Biodiversity loss is the great crisis of our time. Yes, it’s a deeply complex and systemic issue, but now is not the time to plan. Now is the time for action. Today calls for you, me and every organization to play a part in ‘the Great Turning’. It’s time we explore and support solutions. We strive to be a voice for the wild and financially contribute to biodiversity solutions.

At ReWild Africa, we believe businesses can play a critically important role in helping support biodiversity and ecosystem restoration. We’re proud to fund the next-generation of ReWildings.

ReWild Africa is a founding partner of the ReWild Africa Fund, a coalition of businesses accelerating rewilding, conservation and ecosystem restoration. No company can stop biodiversity loss by itself. The ReWild Africa Fund aggregates funds from forward-thinking businesses around the world to support biodiversity projects. ReWild Africa works closely with partners, ReWild's in-house team of conservationists and restoration experts, to purchase key land in biodiversity hotspots and highly threatened areas.
The following partners Trust in the ReWild Africa Fund:
Learn Biomimicry | Sealand | KAYA | Greenpop | Restor Africa | FundPSI (Paraberg Sustainability Initiative) | African Bush Camps | Tru QuestCape Leopard Trust | UN Decade of Restoration | Carbon Neutral Group | Sustainable Finance Coalition | Conservation Finance Alliance | African Parks | ReWilding Global Alliance | Replanet | IUCN | Wildya | Wilder Lands | Value Nature | Carrick Wealth | Terrasos

We support a portfolio of emerging projects and technologies that aim to support biodiversity hotspots, threatened species and key conservation corridors. ReWild Africa works with a multidisciplinary group of scientific experts to find and evaluate the most promising biodiversity projects.
Below are two examples from our broader portfolio.
Eden to Addo Corridor Initiative
The Eden to Addo vision is to link three mega-reserves, the Garden Route National Park, The Baviaanskloof World Heritage Site and the Addo Elephant National Park by means of natural corridors to protect and restore the integrity of biodiversity and ecosystem functioning and foster sustainable livelihoods.
Protectors / Upemba
In the heart of the Congo, Upemba National Park is a forgotten landscape that was once rich in megafauna. However in recent years due to illegal mining and poaching, much of its biodiversity has plummeted. Elephants, zebras, and impala that once roamed in the tens of thousands have declined to just a few hundred. But the story doesn’t end here. Today, a small team of rangers, led by Major Fils, are fighting to restore what has been lost. This film, created last year while on assignment in Upemba, is the beginning of our journey to tell the story of restoring one of Earth’s most threatened and biodiverse places.
Keystone Organisations (such as ReWild Africa) help promising new projects get the attention and financial support. By innovating our way out of this mess, we can be a restorative species, aligning and allying ourselves with Life. Naturally, this is ‘the great turning’ that is called for in our time. There’s no time to waste, for both of us are in a hurry.
The ReWild Africa Fund not only illuminates the efforts of individuals and organizations that go the extra mile to safeguard species and preserve essential ecosystem services through its films but also aspires to be a driving force for change. By redirecting financial support to innovative projects that we believe can significantly amplify their positive effects, ReWild Africa is committed to fostering a transformative impact in Africa.
